Completely Free Dating is a free online dating site for people living in the UK. Andrew Dixon, lead developer, has 9 years CFML experience starting with Allaire ColdFusion 4 and has a small amount of Java experience. Completely Free Dating have been working with Railo since September 2008 and was please to hear Railo 3.1 would be open source. The transition from Adobe ColdFusion to Railo was very smooth with no issues at all as we started with Railo 3.0 and then upgraded to 3.1.
Speaking about Railo, Andrew said, "The thing about Railo that stands out for us is the speed and ease of transitions from Adobe ColdFusion. We would to see support for Flash Charts in the future. We choose Railo as it offered us a highly cost effective CFML solution and its CFML engine is very quick. Our advice for someone coming into Railo would depend on their background, if they where coming from a Adobe ColdFusion background I would say that they don't need to worry too much about compatibility between Adobe CF and Railo as Railo is pretty much complete. If they where coming from a non CFML background I would advise them to just jump right in and start experiencing how quick and easy CFML and Railo is to learn, understand and develop with."
